Director of Product and Solution Marketing for Advanced Customer Services for [SaaS - OCI/PaaS - CAC] in Washington District Of Columbia Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market. Manages a staff of managers. As a manager in product marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development of company marketing specifications for specific product(s) or product line(s). Manage marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meet company objectives. Monitor the development of business plans and business results of e-marketing. Manage lifecycles and product positioning in the market place. Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor the market trends/competitive landscape. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns. Act as a technical advisor for specific product(s). Initiate and foster relationships with development, sales, and other groups to develop new products or enhance functionality of existing product(s) or product line(s). Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities. Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Practical internet knowledge. Software business management experience. 7 years technical marketing experience. Previous development experience or developer marketing experience desired. The Oracle Advanced Customer Services team Product Marketing team is looking to hire Director of Product and Solution Marketing to help own product and solution marketing activities around new product, service and feature introductions, customer adoption, and continual improvement of [SaaS - OCI/PaaS - CAC]. As a director in product and solution marketing, you will be responsible for the following: Leading the development of Advanced Customer service launch strategy and tactics across the portfolio of products and solutions [SaaS - OCI/PaaS - CAC] Develop, implement, and continually improve customer adoption programs specifically targeted in capturing the customer s perspective in Oracle [SaaS - OCI/PaaS - CAC] marketing activities, with serving as a customer advocate within Oracle [SaaS - OCI/PaaS CAC Services ] focused internal teams. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product and service line objectives Develop, implement, and continually improve Oracle Advanced Customer Services focused sales content to ensure customers gain deep levels of understanding Oracle s value - both business value and technical detail around customer use cases, and to become educated about how our offer maps to their specific needs. Manage lifecycles, solution and services positioning in the marketplace, monitor key business metrics and results. Identify customer needs, conduct/oversee market research, and monitor market trends/competitive landscape. Leading the translation of technology capabilities into impactful products and service benefits and business value. Initiate and foster relationships with services product development, sales, and other groups to develop new services or enhance functionality of existing product(s), Service(s) or product line(s). Analyzing competitors strategy, including a deep understanding of competitors product and services portfolios down to feature level expertise and supporting content to enable sellers to win in deal cycles Work with the field sales and pre-sales teams to enable better industry and business positioning of services and solutions driving increased sales. Participate with customers and field sales teams to promote and position solutions and services enabling customer alignment with the broader portfolio. Work with customers to understand demand and functional trends to create and develop the services and solutions portfolio.At least 8 years of experience in roles product management, product marketing, sales engineering, technical evangelism, etc. within the technology industry with specific focus on product launch, Voice of Customer, and web content build activities. Specific experience in cloud computing is highly preferred. The ability to work across teams (engineering, marketing, sales and services) to ensure we create the right plays and content, drive the right go to market activities, and achieve clarity in the results they are generating on a worldwide scale Strong focus on program development and execution, with the ability to lead cross-functionally with teams of peers to build relationships and influence successfully within the corporate environment to achieve our goal of growing the Oracle [SaaS - OCI/PaaS - CAC] business. Deep knowledge of the public cloud market as a whole, specific knowledge of competing public cloud offers (eg AWS, Azure, GCP) and Oracle s Cloud offerings. Hands-on experience with cloud technology and experience or desire to learn and go deep our competitors products and services. Proven track record of building technical and/or business messaging in relation to cloud products, solutions and services. Ability to connect technology with measurable business value including business case and ROI development. Strong focus on content build - Demonstrated ability to build excellent marketing content with focus on both customer and internal audiences, taking a volume of feedback from a wide variety of sources, and continually improving deployed assets deployed across a wide variety of needs on a worldwide scale. Demonstrated bias for action and driving results, with understanding that activity alone does not equal results. Broad knowledge of the enterprise digital transformation land scape including innovative technology segments such as DevOps, IoT, Distributed Data Services, and BlockChain. Executive Presence with ability to speak to all levels (C-level, Director, Technical buyers in the Enterprise) The candidate should also have: BA/BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (preferred), Marketing or related field MBA (or equivalent in related work experience)
