Let's make an impact together.Oversee the development and implementation of human resources policies, programs, and services, including recruitment, selection, base and incentive compensation, talent management, retention, performance management, legal compliance of federal, state, and local laws, employee benefits, employee relations, employment policies, practices and procedures. Work with the Vice President of Communications on matters related to employee communications. Serves as internal consultant to executive leadership team and employees on personnel issues to improve and maximize performance and positively influence business relationships and interactions. Attract, select, develop, evaluate, and lead a team of human resource professionals to establish an optimally effective and responsive internal consulting group. Foster a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission outlined by the leadership of the company including all affiliated companies. Lead Workforce Management team to assist the business in creating and implementing staffing and retention plans. Partner with Talent Management to deploy talent programs (performance assessment & review, succession planning, development planning). Promote and foster a healthy work environment; raise awareness of available programs to assist employees. Implement appropriate employee engagement programs and union avoidance initiatives (as applicable). Oversee affirmative action programs including annual filings, data collection/record keeping, and preparation of plans in compliance with EEO/OFCCP regulations. This position reports directly to the CHRO for Perspecta. * Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate human resource function and performance. * Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps and develop specific programs for filling of the gaps. * Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a human resources strategic partner, consultant and coach. * Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and employees. * Serve as internal consultant to managers and advisor/mediator in employee situations in which discipline is joint responsibility of the Vice President of Human Resources and employee supervisor. * Responsible for company compliance with all federal, state, and local laws related to employee benefits, compensation, employment and training. * Remain current with changes in human resource and employment law and manage company relationships with state and local regulatory agencies. * Develop, manage, improve, and use HR information to advise operating leadership of meaningful statutes regarding hiring, retention, and terminations, including case studies. * Plan, present, prioritize the budget and perform to annual budget of the Human Resources Business Partnerships Department. * Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the corporation. Included in this area but not limited only to the following would be programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee complaints, external education and career development.15+ of overall HR experience 10+ years of experience in senior HR leadership roles Bachelor's degree required (Masters degree preferred) Federal contractor HR experience preferred SPHR or similar certification desired
