  • This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
  • Must possess oral and written fluency in both English and Spanish
  • This announcement will be used to fill positions with an entry grade of GS-11,12, or 13 with a target grade of GS-13. The minimum annual salary for grade GS-11 is $68,036 and the maximum annual salary for grade GS-13 is $126,062.
  • For GS-11 Level: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as independently performing operational and administrative functions in support of the planning, coordination and execution of academic outreach programs in a multicultural, multi-language environment, with the ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish.

    SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.

    For GS-12 Level: Specialized experience is defined as independently performing operational and administrative functions in support of the planning, coordination and execution of academic outreach programs, including coordinating travel and use of facilities in a multicultural, multi-language environment, with the ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish.

    Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.

    For GS-13 Level: Specialized experience is defined as
    independently performing operational and administrative functions in support of the planning, coordination and execution of academic outreach programs, including developing event procedures, coordinating travel, and use of facilities in a multicultural, multi-language environment, with the ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish.

    Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
