1. Demonstrated mastery and experience in the development, management, and implementation of advanced science policy, research, and programs with scope at the national and/or international level. Provide examples how you have successfully met this requirement.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead, orchestrate, and direct science policy programs for large, complex organizations, characterized by a large geographically dispersed staff, providing managerial direction, advocacy, and evaluation of nationwide science policies and programs. Provide examples how you have successfully met this requirement.
3. Demonstrated ability to persuade and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior and subordinate managers, Science Divisions within NASA, the Executive Office of the President, Congress, the scientific and academic communities, and other Federal agencies. Provide examples how you have successfully met this requirement.

Candidates must possess the following basic requirements:
1.Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics;
2. Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
