Director of Internal CommunicationsJob DescriptionCoStar is seeking an Internal Communications Director to carry our authentic voice forward and make a lasting impact. Work closely with the VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations to help ensure that employee communications reflect the company's strategic objectives and people-centric culture.The successful candidate must be a self-starter, someone who likes and wants to do the work, not just manage a team or wait for assignments to come to them. The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, be naturally inquisitive and have the demonstrated ability to be comfortable and add value in a corporate environment with the C-suite and across all levels of the organization. Digital industry experience is a big plus.The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment; operate with a strong level of marketing channel intelligence; bring creative ideas and solutions to market communications challenges; understand communication strategies for traditional, web, social and new media; and manage relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels. Key Responsibilities:Responsible for messaging, communications plans, and timelines for events, as examples.Strategies that help increase employee engagement will be central to the candidate's primary responsibility;Will be required to define voice for various audiences as well leverage new and different storytelling approaches (ie digital, video, etc) that influence outcomes and demonstrate value.This self-starter will infiltrate the organization and will be responsible for proactively manage relationships with senior executives and influence others with or without direct authority.Keen awareness of messaging related to editorial and communications calendars.Bring new innovative ideas in internal communications including digital display and smart phone appsSpearhead a messaging platform that fosters community engagement and increases corporate visibility in local communitiesJob Requirements:10-12+ years of experience in corporate/employee communications or marketing.Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.Bachelor's degree requiredMust convey a positive, can-do attitude every day Ability to quickly gain organizational awareness, learn the business, history, culture and key playersExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative, technical and persuasive writing style techniquesSharp error-free editing and proofreading skillsProficient in AP StyleKeen eye for good design and layout. Visual design expertise and experience with light photo editing (cropping, resizingStrong attention to detailProblem solverAbility to effectively manage projects in a fun but demanding, fast paced, deadline-driven environment that requires the ability to flex, prioritize, and work outside normal office hoursMicrosoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and prior experience performing basic tasks in Adobe Creative Suite or similar programs. Office 365 a plus.
