Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist is an inside sales support role responsible for supporting the Danfoss Cooling NAM Sales Director and Cooling Sales team (all business areas or segments-ACR, FRL, IB, IDS, IRF)) in strengthening customer relationships while maximizing sales. Daily tasks include providing internal support for sales management, back office support, project management, customer support, and assigned projects. The Sales Support Specialist is a member of the Cooling NAM Sales team reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales/NAM. The position is located in Baltimore, MD. Critical Tasks/Key Responsibilities Assist KAMs/AMs or directly project manage customer opportunities in CRM with their knowledge or approval. This activity includes but is not limited to CRS/SCR/One-pagers (tracking, accuracy, chasing details, priorities, one-stop contact), preparation for complex customer RFQ's, with possible need for regular cadence of key participant meetings either virtual or physical.Coordinate test sample orders/tracking on behalf of KAMs and AEs.Act as Account Manager for assigned list of no-call Customer accounts to support outside sales.SAP Customer Master: create new Customers and update existing onesCreate requests for code number extension for sales. Request to review with Fulfillment and revise inventory levels, safety stock, ROP, Customer segmentation / differentiated list, OSMI, SMI on a regular basis - all these metrics are owned by GS-Fulfillment but need regular review and revision in response to constantly changing external and internal conditions.Track key Customer forecasts vs actual demand, report findings back to KAMs/AMs.MYP dashboard tracking together with SOPs - get in a weekly cadence of reading the MYP Dashboard, interpreting the info and turning it to actionable guidance for the KAMs/AMs to secure we display the latest information.Internal liaison to Customer Service for order and sample expediting/price issues/PO handling/etc.Inside sales follow up in response to lead generation in coordination with MarCom.Coordinate efforts with sales team to adopt a team approach; work with others in pursuing common business goals. Respond to calls/emails regarding customer issues and effectively follow up in a timely manner.Assist KAMs/AMs in recording suggestions, complaints, ideas made by the Customers and report them for action by the responsible Functional area and follow up. Occasionally visit Customers, as needed to support KAM/AM sales opportunities.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of company products, special projects and marketing campaigns within the business area.Operate in a heavily matrixed environment that requires developing relationships with multiple stakeholders and providing support where needed. Skills and Education 5+ years of diverse (OEM, wholesale, end-user) industry related experience in sales or supporting sales function required.Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics or finance or certificate with documented 5+ years significant and substantial business, marketing, economics or finance experience required.Creative thinker and should possess ability to resolve critical problems. Good organizational skills, have ability to multitask and handle conflicts in the business. Professional, tenacious, and strong, convincing communication skills.Must be able to work in a team environment.Hands-on CRM process experience software and other common computer software such MS Office Suite, SAP.Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques. Some technical aptitude is required in understanding air-conditioning and refrigeration principles and applications and how Danfoss fits in them.
