For 29 years, clients in the private and public sectors have relied upon SOS International LLC (SOSi) for critical operations in the world's most challenging environments. SOSi is privately held, was founded by its current ownership in 1989, maintains corporate headquarters in New York City, and specializes in providing logistics, construction, training, intelligence, and information technology solutions to the defense, diplomatic, intelligence and law enforcement communities.SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Vice President for Marketing and Communications. The VP for Marketing and Communications serves as the Company's chief communications and public relations executive, responsible for managing the Company's brand and messaging both internally and externally., * Developing the Company's internal communications and external marketing strategies, and serving as the chief proponent of the Company's messaging, brand, vision, mission, values, and operating principles. * Hiring, developing, and managing a team of professionals to oversee all aspects of the Company's marketing and communications program. * Developing and managing the Company's Marketing and Communications Department budget. * Writing press releases, internal announcements, website and intranet content, and other written products, as required. * Developing and managing the Company's social media messaging strategy, and developing and disseminating high quality social media content for both internal and external audiences. * Producing, or directing the production of other Company communications products, including, but not limited to: website, Intranet site, marketing collateral, presentation and proposal templates, videos, photography, graphics and digital artwork. * Developing, communicating and enforcing communication policies and standards across the Company, including but not limited to: crisis communication plans, writing styles, brand/logo treatment guides, and internal/external messaging and talking points. * Developing and managing the Company's community engagement strategy and relationships with external charities and non-profit organizations, in accordance with the Company's objectives. * Selecting and managing external vendors, including but not limited to: marketing and public relations firms, graphic designers, web developers, technical writers, and SWAG suppliers, in partnership with the Purchasing and Contracts Departments (ie drafting work statements, performing technical evaluations, etc.). * Developing and implementing the Company's public relations strategy, managing the Company's media relationships, managing crisis communication response plans, and proactively obtaining positive news coverage for the Company, in accordance with its objectives. * Developing employee engagement strategies for the Company's business units and functional departments (ie Human Resources, Information Technology, Security, Finance, Procurement, Travel, etc.), and supporting them with high quality communication products and services, such as internal electronic newsletters and presentation templates, training materials, etc. * Managing trade show exhibits and recruiting events in partnership with the business units and the Business Development and Human Resources / Recruiting Departments. * Identifying, pursuing, and winning both industry and non-industry-specific awards and recognitions for the Company. * Identifying and securing "thought leadership" opportunities, such as speaking engagements, editorials, etc., for senior Company leaders and executives. * Ordering and managing Company SWAG for distribution to employees and Company events in support of recruiting, business development, and other Company objectives. * Staying abreast of and internally disseminating international, domestic, and industry-related news that could impact the Company. * Tracking and reporting on important public news pertaining to competitors, partners, and clients. * Performing other tasks and supporting other Company objectives, as required.* Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field. * Marketing or advertising agency experience. * Experience in non-profit development and/or management. * Experience in video production, graphic design, or other creative field. * Experience in the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services Industry. * US Government security clearance., * Normal office working conditions with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs. * Domestic and international travel, including to austere high-threat locations, such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
