Senior Private Banker Wilmington Trust Tyson's Corner, VA Basic Function:Responsible for the origination and underwriting of new loan requests. Also responsible for an assigned portfolio of loan and/or deposit relationships with major businesses and individuals within the community. Solicits new business, and administers and services existing business. Must adhere to the requirements of federal registration under the SAFE Act.Responsibilities:Services customers seeking routine loan and/or deposit relationships with the Bank, interviewing applicants to develop information concerning their businesses and requirements, evaluating credit information and making relationship recommendations. Majority of the lending revolves around real estate investment, focusing on properties in transition, ground up construction, owner occupied properties and operating properties in the hotel and healthcare industries. The remainder of the portfolio relates to personal lines of credit, both secured and unsecured, residential mortgage loans and middle market type lending to both public and private entities. Maximizes the Department's profitability through the maintenance of a high quality loan portfolio. Follows current loans to ensure conformity with terms; maintains current and complete credit file. Participates in a formal call program to develop new loan and deposit business. Develop and distribute reports and information request materials. Review new loan submissions and requests. Prepare and review credit memoranda for submission to loan committee. Analyze and negotiate terms for new credit proposals. Review documentation and reports, formulate and implement remedial action plans to close loans. Inspect properties that are security for existing and proposed loans. Follows market trends and developments to increase the Bank's business in established and developing markets. Participates in civic and cultural organizations. The position requires extensive external (prospective customers) and internal (various Bank personnel) to fully perform responsibilities. Responsible for establishing and maintaining federal registration requirements outlined in the SAFE Act. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Real Estate or equivalent in experience. Seven (7)years underwriting and negotiating commercial mortgages Seven (7) years lending and portfolio management experience. Supervisory and/or mentoring experience of junior and associate Relationship Managers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel using diplomacy. Excellent presentation skills.
