Looking for an experienced IT position at an energetic & passionate company? Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, a Bethesda, MD CPA Firm is in search of a Network Administrator Auditor to join our IT team.

Summary of Position:

Responds to escalated work orders; provides efficient, effective, and timely service to users and clients. This position requires occasional IT Audits using ITGC and COBIT standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administer network including Active Directory, Domain Controllers, File Server, Print Server,  Phone/Voice server, Exchange Server, Backup Server, Citrix Server, VMWare, Firewall ,Virus Protection Server, Practice Management Server, Sharepoint Server
  • Troubleshoots, updates and monitors Windows 2008, 2012 Server issues
  • Troubleshoots smart phones and tablets
  • Occasionally sets up network printers, menu options and changes  
  • Sets up new users’ email accounts, phone configurations and workstation
  • Performs minor repairs to equipment, maintains hardware in good working order
  • Assists in writing and keeping network documentation current
  • Coordinates with vendors (hardware and software issues)
  • Assist IT director with projects
  • Planning and execution of Business Process and IT Audit projects
  • Performs IT General Controls as a part of financial statement audits
  • Performs internal and operational audits
  • Performs attestation engagements
  • Performs compliance testing of SOX
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Other Functions:

  • Available weekend and other off hours
  • Train staff on software


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 & 2009 & 2012 , Windows 7 & 10, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Group Policy, Avaya phone system,Veem and Shadow Protect Backup/recovery, SonicWall Firewall, GFI Vipre Anti-Virus, Barracuda Web Monitoring, Administering Citrix and VMWare Servers
  • CISA certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently, use sound judgment and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
