Job Description: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is recruiting for a full time Catering Associate to join our Food and Nutrition Services Department for a rotating schedule. Department/Position Overview: This position will join the Team in our Food and Nutrition Services department and will be responsible for duties such as: meal services on assigned hospital units, communicating patient food concerns and needs to department leaders, interacting with Nurses in regard to patient nutrition concerns, assisting Dietitian with patients on liquid diets or clear diets and recording food intake for certain patients.Facility Highlights: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is a 183-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Woodbridge, Va. Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units. Communicates patient food issues/concerns and needs to Food & Nutrition Services, and interacts with Nursing in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. Assist dietitian with monitoring of patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets and records food intake for patients on intake analysis. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets. Familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Responsible for patient satisfaction on assigned units.

High School Grad or Equivalent
