Brand Manager, Marketing (Auto) Summary PenFed is hiring a Brand Manager, Marketing (Auto) in our McLean, Virginia headquarters. The primary purpose of the Brand Manager will be to drive strategy, development and execution of marketing initiatives to support product verticals and the overall PenFed brand. The Brand Manager will be responsible for delivering against a range of KPIs to drive awareness, consideration, and volume. They will work closely with cross-functional teams and business units to execute plans and ensure all marketing initiatives align with PenFed's overall brand look, voice and feel. Develops the overall product marketing strategy that incorporates consumer insights, situational analysis, and competitive research used across multiple channels to reach PenFed's goals and drive brand growth Has an expert-level understanding of the full marketing mix. Demonstrates an ability to learn new markets quickly, and can adjust to changes in market dynamics and competitive landscapes Manages budget, forecasting, and reconciliation for specific brand/product vertical and projects Acts as a liaison between the product teams, compliance, internal creative marketing services, external partners to develop and execute projects Manages full execution of communications including direct mail campaigns, email campaigns, signage, collateral, mass advertising (print, social, digital, TV, radio) and event materials to meet defined goals Briefs and manages agencies to deliver best in class creative executions Works closely with cross functional teams, including PR, web and UX team, procurement, compliance and legal to ensure consistency, accuracy and alignment on all brand efforts Analyzes and reports on campaign effectiveness Supports branch and merger efforts through campaign and media support Takes calculated risks; not afraid to try new things. Demonstrated ability to produce creative ideas and elicit creative ideas from others Leads meetings, presentations, task-forces, and marketing communications for product initiatives and assigned projects May travel/attend PenFed sponsored Events which require representation and/or marketing materials Assists with other marketing department projects as needed Education and Experience Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. MBA or Master's degree preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or related field required Experience in marketing financial services or automotive sector preferred Demonstrated marketing & strategic analysis skills with an ability to map an understanding of business drivers Expertise in marketing strategy and project management principles and practices Strong writer and ability to build presentations, conduct research and report on findings Strong leadership and presentation skills, with ability to lead meetings and present to senior level management Excellent communications, conflict management, and negotiation skills Must possess a strong work ethic and be an enthusiastic team player Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively, prioritize, and meet deadlines Experience in financial services industry a plus but not required Must have a sense of humor Supervisory Responsibility This position will supervise employees. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Travel Local travel to various worksites is required.
