Assistant Director of Global Affairs Program

The George Mason University Global Affairs Program seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Director to begin September 2018. This is 12-month, renewable term (nontenured) appointment. Responsibilities: The Assistant Director serves as the undergraduate coordinator for the Global Affairs Program (GLOA)—a large, dynamic, and highly diverse interdisciplinary degree program in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences ( As undergraduate coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for advising Global Affairs majors; and organizing and administering program activities, including freshman and transfer student orientations, internships and the honors program.

This instructional faculty position carries a teaching load of two courses in each of the Fall and Spring semesters, and one course in the Summer. Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and administration preferred.


  • Ph.D. is required;
  • Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and administration is preferred.
