Job Description: Position is the subject matter expert and provides expertise and clinical direction to hospice programs across the division to enhance service delivery. Duties include the development and creation of new clinical programs, incorporating evidenced based practice, initiate activities to improve clinical outcomes, and monitor adherence to compliance standards. Facilitates and participates in training. Designated individual has the ability and decision making responsibility to direct clinical care delivery through managing and evaluating the work activities of the programs across the division to assure adherence to national standards, Sentara policies, and processes. Travels to locations within area of responsibility to evaluate clinical performance of the interdisciplinary group and clinical leadership. Assists and directs locations with improvements in clinical operational process, analyzes operational needs, and recommends and directs improvement in methodologies. Manages Performance Improvement Projects to assure effectiveness and maintenance of outcomes. Prepare activity reports to inform senior management of the status of clinical activities including performance and/or action plans, services, and quality initiatives.

RN candidates after November 30, 2018 will be required to have a BSN. RN hires prior to November 30, 2018 will be required to sign a BSN agreement committing to enrollment in accredited RN to BSN program within 24 months of hire and successfully obtaining their BSN within 5 years.

This position is based in Chesapeake, Virginia. Some travel across the state is required.

This is a Full-time - Day shift position.
Must have a minimum of 5 years Clinical RN experience as well as 3 years Hospice and 2 years Supervisory experience.BSN required.
