Laboratory Quality Coordinator
Sentara Laboratory Services is a team of more than 700 Clinical Laboratory Professionals that service 12 hospitals and the communities around them in the Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina region.
Our Laboratory Quality Coordinator is responsible for the management of processes to support ongoing compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards system-wide. This position interfaces with leadership, medical and lab staff.

Responsible for the management of processes to support ongoing compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards system-wide. Interfaces and collaborates with leadership, medical and laboratory staff to establish and implement ongoing compliance, survey readiness, and to meet accreditation and compliance goals. Researches and obtains clarity of standard compliance requirements while keeping leadership informed on progress.
Bachelor's Level Degree - MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY/LAB SCIENCE

Preferred: Accreditation and Regulatory - 5 years, Compliance - 5 years, Laboratory - 5 years, Laboratory Leadership - 5 years, Quality Improvement - 5 years, Regulatory/Compliance - 5 years, Safety - 5 years
Required: ASCP Medical Technologist, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology
Preferred: AMT Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Scientist
Required: Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Judgment and Decision Making, Leadership, Microsoft Office, Project Management, Service Orientation, Systems Analysis, Systems Evaluation
Preferred: None, unless noted in the “Other” section below
Bachelor's Degree in the Sciences acceptable. Experience required must be within the Laboratory arena in Accreditation and regulatory; or Laboratory Leadership; or Quality Improvement. Must possess understanding of regulatory accreditation agency standards. Strong computer spreadsheet and graphic software skills required.
Top candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and hold ASCP or AMT certification. Five years of experience in accreditation regulatory, compliance, leadership, quality improvement, and safety are needed.
