Responsibilities

The Assistant Director of Athletic Communications (ADAC) will assist the Director of Athletic Communications in all aspects of the department, including but not limited to: website maintenance, game-day operations, statistics, social media, video/graphic configuration, and related duties as assigned. The ADAC will provide support and assist in the management of the Marymount Athletics Awards Show and Athletics Hall of Fame. The ADAC will be the primary contact for selected teams, but available for other home events as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Availability to work evenings and weekends in addition to regular office hours
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
• Ability to write, edit and/or develop releases without supervision
• Ability to effectively supervise student staff and complete all assigned actions in a timely and accurate manner
• Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records and reports
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and able to work well with supervisor, coworkers, coaches, campus community and the public

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required with at least three years of experience in an athletic communications office (graduate assistant experience can be counted). The candidate must have the necessary skills to effectively utilize the administrative computer systems (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, StatCrew).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PrestoSports, video editing, and graphic design preferred.
