National telecom trade association seeks an individual responsible for preparation and processing of payroll and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Other responsibilities include preparing all required payroll tax and benefit expense reconciliations, monthly and quarterly journal entries and monthly bank reconciliations. This position reports to the Accounting and Investment Manager.
Successful candidate should have a 4-year degree in accounting and 2-4 years of relevant or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will be an independent worker and self-starter who possesses an understanding of GAAP and payroll laws. The position also requires excel knowledge, a general understanding of a financial management system, especially MS GP Dynamics and Ceridian as well as strong interpersonal and oral & written communication skills and detailed oriented.
