    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: If selected for this position, you will be required to: - Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment. - Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer. - Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.

    Candidates must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience working with outside authorities such as OMB, Inspector General or DHS; managing IT audit processes, assessment and authorization programs, FISMA reporting, POA&Ms and vulnerabilities remediation and a configuration management program; and developing IT security policies.

    Education can not be substituted for experience in this position.

    • Knowledge of the enterprise IT architecture and new security developments to lead the
      implementation of an intrusion detection program.
    • Knowledge of multiple IT disciplines to develop the organization's security incident
      response policy.
    • Knowledge of the Federal IT security hierarchy to implement federal security requirements and mandates;integrate security programs across disciplines; and define the scope and level of detail for security plans and policies applicable to the Commission's security program.
    • Knowledge of the infrastructure protection environment to review proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks.
    • Ability to lead committees on information studies and policies relating to long-range trends and needs.
    • Ability to lead a team in accomplishing major projects.
    • Ability to lead formulation of budget requests and execute funding within approved fiscal year budgets.
    • Skill in monitoring contractor performance for IT support and product services contracts.
