Position Description:
The Staff Chaplain provides pastoral/spiritual care for patients/residents, families, and the hospital staff. The chaplain will have responsibility to ensure that religious and spiritual needs of patients/residents and families are met in clinical areas to which the chaplain is assigned. The Staff Chaplain will report to the Vice President of Patient Relations.

Required Education and Experience:

o At a minimum, candidate must have a bachelor's degree in counseling, theology or a related field. A Master's degree in Theology, Divinity or other related fields will be preferred.

o Candidate must have completed as least one unit of training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) through a professional organization such as the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.

o Candidate must be eligible for Board Certification within the first year of employment.

o Candidate must have at least two (2) years serving as a hospital chaplain.

Candidate be endorsed by a recognized religious institution
