The Ford Agency seeks an employee relations professional to serve one of DC's most respected universities. This role will collaborate with all university departments, ensuring employee-related matters are investigated, evaluated, and settled with an objective and unbiased approach.  The ideal candidate will have exposure to labor and employment law in a legal or professional services environment. A strong interest in higher education is desired. This is an open-ended temporary position and is available immediately.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Acting as investigator for employee relations inquiries and matters
  • Maintains full compliancy and oversees the investigation and resolution process
  • Initiating and implementing policies and processes to establish new and effective methods of training

Requirements Include:

  • 2+ years of relevant labor/employment legal and/or employee relations experience
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Knowledge of Federal/DC employment and labor laws preferred
  • EEO
  • Title IX, VII
  • ADA, FMLA
  • Experience investigating and resolving employment related concerns in a professional setting preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
