The Ford Agency is recruiting for a Compensation Consultant to join the HR team at one of DC's top universities. The Consultant will support multiple aspects of the university’s human resources and compensation programs. While providing advanced strategic planning, design, implementation, compliance, and administrative support, the Compensation Consultant will be a key member of the cross-functional human resources team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent consultation skills, and have a strong commitment to higher education, and diversity and inclusion.


  • Plans, designs, and administers staff compensation program
  • Consult with leadership, management and HR representatives and business partners
  • Monitor local and federal laws to ensure compliance


  • Bachelor’s degree; HR or Business focus preferred
  • Progressive compensation experience as well as a strong understanding of federal and state employment laws
  • Demonstrated aptitude in financial and data analysis
  • Exemplary communication, interpersonal and management skills
