Diversity Program Specialist

Do you have experience coordinating awards, scholarship/fellowships, mentorships and/or grants programs?  Our client, a Membership Association in downtown Washington, DC is in need of a long-term Temporary Diversity Program Specialist.  There is a possibility that this might become a Temp-to-Hire opportunity down the road.

This person will provide the lead for day to day award program management including, marketing and outreach, application and review, notification and tracking, reporting and evaluation. The Diversity Programs Specialist will also serve as a program liaison for applicants, reviewers and study section members. They will be a key member of the Awards and Diversity Programs Department staff supporting the association's goals of increasing the participation of underrepresented minorities and increasing the number of minority candidates with academic and research appointments.

Qualifications include experience coordinating awards, scholarship/fellowship, mentorship or grants programs along with excellent analytical, technical and project management skills.  Candidates must have excellent organizational and time management skills, strong attention to detail, and a proven high level of commitment to effective customer service. Prior experience in a not for profit environment preferred.
