Position Description:
Responsible for maintaining a high-level of availability, reliability, and security for the Not-For-Profit Hospital Corporation's network and computing resources. Works with the Infrastructure Director to analyze, plan, design, implement, and configure network and server infrastructure so that it aligns with the hospital's strategic IT goals and objectives. Works with Help Desk and Application Support staff to prioritize and resolve trouble calls and. Assure that all appropriate computer systems and associated equipment is operational at all times.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in computer systems design or computer science (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5 to 7 years dedicated to Microsoft enterprise software and platforms
  • Extensive experience with VMWare switching and Cisco catalyst hardware
  • Experience installing and maintaining virtual hosts as well as standalone servers
  • Project based experience extending Active Directory to cloud services such as AWS and Azure
  • Experience implementing Microsoft Solutions Framework and ITIL methodologies
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring and administering Microsoft Active Directory Services (Windows 2012R2, Windows 2016, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Windows Clustering). Proficient with PowerShell scripting
  • Requires a strong understanding of physical and virtual network technologies, methodologies and concepts (vLAN tagging and Port Groups).
  • Experience managing Storage Area Networks (LUN creation, zoning and multi-pathing)
  • Requires experience designing high availability and disaster recovery (COOP) solutions
  • Advanced experience with Solarwinds monitoring software, preferred
  • A valid Microsoft certification (MCP, MCSA, MCSE) is strongly preferred
  • A valid VMware certification (VTSP or VCP) is strongly preferred
