Senior CRM Developer, Administrative Applications - University Information Services

University Information Services (UIS) provides Georgetown University with the core technology resources and support services for teaching, learning, and research.

The Senior CRM Developer is responsible for analysis of University-wide information system requirements, development of specifications, both low- and high-level programming; and for writing system documentation for Georgetown 360, a Constituent Relationship Management system, being built on Salesforce to support both Advancement and University-wide CRM. S/he has specific responsibilities in application of vendor maintenance, quality control management and oversight of change control processes, and analysis of requirements. Reporting to the Associate Director of Integrations, the Senior CRM Developer has duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes, defines, implements changes to, and supports Salesforce applications, as well as other enterprise web applications, managed packages and integrations, such as development in Salesforce Apex, trigger, and workflow design.
  • Effectively uses tools and programming languages for writing and modifying programs to support the CRM system, such as SalesForce.com, Visualforce, JavaScript, AJAX, and HTML 5.
  • Effectively manages changes to the production environment and technology-based assets of the organization, e.g., application software, production databases, operating systems, and hardware. 
  • Ensures configuration control, documented testing planning, and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related computing intensive field and 5 years of experience OR Master`s degree in Computer Science/MIS or related computing intensive field and 2 years of experience
  • 5 - 7 years of object oriented software development (C++, C#, Java)
  • Experience building and supporting enterprise web applications - e.g., JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5
  • Web service design and implementation experience with a focus on integration design and implementation
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and use effective working relationships within own department, and across line, functional, and geographic reporting lines
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Apex, trigger and workflow design; as well as web service design, and implementation experience with focus on integration design - preference for  Visualforce
  • Experience developing in an Agile methodology - preference for experience gathering and developing business requirements for Salesforce development
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to changing business requirements and to efficiently acquire and utilize new skills in response to such change 
  • Ability to work within and across teams to support the acquisition of new skills and areas of expertise

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience developing Force.com Visualforce pages, Managed Packages, and integrations
  • Salesforce deployment and change management experience
  • Experience building and executing Salesforce development test plans
  • Salesforce developer certification
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Apex, Lightning, trigger and workflow design
  • Salesforce administrator and developer certification
  • Experience developing Force.com Lightning Components, Lighting Pages (to include Community Builder), and working with Managed Packages and integrations
