Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.


Job Summary:

Westat is seeking a qualified clinical research associate to perform site monitoring visits. Opening available in our Rockville headquarters or a regional home-based office. 

Job Responsibilities:

· Conducting site qualifications, initiation visits, interim visits, and close-out visits. · Supporting site compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). · Writing reports. · Reviewing study protocols. · Developing procedures manuals and training materials for study protocols. · Training clinical and data collection staff. · Performing clinical and laboratory site monitoring. · Working with data management staff and analysts.

Basic qualifications: 

· A bachelor's degree in nursing or other health-related field with at least 5 years of oncology-related experience and 10 years of clinical research experience is required. · Knowledge of GCP Guidelines is required.
Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational and time-management skills, and writing skills are essential. The selected candidate must be willing to travel a maximum of 10 days per month.
