Development and Special Projects Manager
The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG), a non-profit scientific organization consisting of approximately 8,000 members, seeks a Development and Special Projects Manager to help the Society strengthen relations and program opportunities with potential industry, academic and foundation partners; define and develop fundable programs; and strengthen ASHG’s existing individual giving program. The ideal candidate will have a will have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in communications, English, journalism, political science, psychology or a field that emphasizes effective writing, analysis and persuasive communication as well as 3-5 years of professional experience in development, communications, marketing, advocacy and/or sales, preferably in a nonprofit/association environment. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication as well as strong organizational and project management skills is vital.
