The team works directly with many customer but primarily the Navy in creating the Machinery control systems that drive our Navy fleet. This position will be responsible for the following: 1) Participate in the design, development, test and maintenance of complex Automation and Machinery application software and database applications. 2) Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. 3) Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. 4) Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline. Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Must have experience in some or all of the following object-oriented languages, technologies and operating systems: C++, Java, C#, Unix/Linux, Windows. Excellent team orientation, oral and written communications skills.
