Position Summary and Responsibilities Programmer (VBA)/Electrical Test Engineer - Batteries The Company is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer with in-depth experience programming in Microsoft®VBA to develop data analysis macros and generate standardized reports; perform electrical and physical testing of unique state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery cells using high accuracy battery test equipment; deliver the highest quality products and services to our customers. Work Description: Work with senior engineers and scientists to develop requirements for data analysis Design and develop new macros as well as update and maintain existing macros for Microsoft® Excel and Access to reduce, summarize, and concatenate data Write macros to generate standardized reports Develop new and update existing Microsoft® Access databases Transition existing databases to more advanced database structures like Microsoft® SQL Server Test electrochemical cells and batteries Perform Data analysis Qualifications Education & Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or computer science 3 or more years of experience with Visual Basic® for Applications programming Electrical/electronic experience Demonstrated attention to detail and knowledge of accuracy and precision Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products Excellent documentation skills US Citizenship required for government clearance and or data/software access Desired: Other programming language experience Access database or SQL based database experience Labview™ programming experience Battery test and analysis experience Battery cycling equipment experience (Maccor preferred, or equivalent such as Arbin, Bitrode, Digitron Firing Circuits, Chroma, or PEC) Company Description The Company is located 15 minutes north of Baltimore, Maryland, is a leading provider of custom power systems and gas generation solutions based on proprietary fuel cell, battery, electrolysis, Stirling and thermoelectric technologies and staffed with a group of highly talented professionals.
