POSITION TITLE Vice President, Operations LOCATION Raleigh, NC YOUR ROLE The US Mortgage Insurance (USMI) Vice President of Operations reports to the President & CEO of Genworth Mortgage Insurance, and is responsible for driving initiatives that strategically improve and influence homeownership for the future. The position requires a visionary leader with strong operational rigor and an exceptional ability to inspire an innovative and continuous improvement culture. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES The selected Vice President of Operations must be skilled at relationship-based interactions and partner with Sales and the company's largest customers to provide well-grounded detail and strategic certainty of our unwavering commitment to operational and customer service excellence. Additionally, the Vice President of Operations will proactively identify industry trends and business issues, set the strategic direction for the business, develop sound business plan tactics, and strategically prioritize business initiatives. Your functional responsibilities include: * Underwriting * Loss Mitigation - Claims & Homeownership Assistance * Operations Analytics - Data Science, Enterprise Data Management, Resource Optimization * Investigations, Appraisals, ECC * Policies & Procedures * Continuous Improvement * Servicer Reporting * Enterprise Project Management Office YOUR QUALIFICATIONS * Undergraduate degree * 10+ years of progressive business experience with five years at a senior management level * Broad knowledge of all phases of mortgage origination, closing and sale * Significant knowledge of MI and compliance underwriting * Significant knowledge of loss mitigation industry and loan servicing dynamics to manage * Experience negotiating and managing customer relationships * Proven ability to build and grow a business, to successfully manage aP&L, to drive quality initiatives for re-engineering, continuous process improvements, system enhancements and automation * Proven record of communication and leadership excellence to accomplish demanding goals within a dynamic corporate framework * Demonstrated ability to drive strategic vision and effectively lead a large-scale organization of diverse professionals * Experience with leading "best in class" service delivery and a firm commitment to the highest level of internal and external customer service which is measured by industry customer satisfaction ratings, internal quality assurance, quality control efforts, etc. * Strong passion and commitment to ongoing employee and personal development * Ability to define and create expanded business opportunities by partnering with Sales, Commercial, IT, Risk, Legal, Government Relations, and other internal resources * Proactively partner with Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Internal Audit, and Legal resources to prudently manage risk and control exposure ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS * MBA * 5+ years mortgage industry experience * Previous credit risk, arbitration management, and MI experience * Current relationships with major servicers and GSE's COMPANY Genworth Financial, Inc. is a leading insurance holding company committed to helping families achieve the dream of home ownership and address the financial challenges of aging through its leadership positions in mortgage insurance and long-term care insurance.
