Some of your responsibilities include areas relating to financial reporting, audit and financial compliance. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities for interim and year-end audit processes. The impact you'll have: You'll safeguard our external reported financial statements, compliant with US GAAP. You'll have opportunities for research and make recommendations for accounting treatments for new or unusual transactions. You'll have exposure to emerging developments in the future of accounting principles. You'll ensure that the business fits with quarterly and annual financial disclosure checklists. You'll have opportunities to collaborate with Group Finance, asset operational teams, and FP&A teams. You'll be commercially savvy and have board teams to lean on and make decisions in conjunction with the Technical Accounting Director You're happy being left to your own devices but know when to reach out to other areas of the business in the analysis of business cases, operational initiatives and advise management on the impacts to the valuation, capital structure and cost of capital The talents you'll bring: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting CPA qualification Minimum of five years' experience in a large organization exposed to all facets of accounting Strong technical accounting knowledge Ability to research new accounting positions Ability to work collaboratively in teams as well as autonomously Experience producing comprehensive financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Experience with auditing processes High degree of initiative Excellent problem solving ability Attention to detail Customer service oriented Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks Advanced Excel skills Public accounting experience 1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 2. CPA. 3. 5+ years of experience in a large organization exposed to all facets of accounting. 4. Strong technical accounting knowledge. 5. Experience producing comprehensive financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. 6. Experience with auditing processes. 7. Strong experience with external reporting.
