EXPECTATIONS: The Recruiting Manager for the Corporate Organizations will manage a team that recruits for a wide variety of corporate support organizations across North America. This is a hands-on management and recruiting role, carrying a requisition load in addition to leading the team. The company continues to grow and evolve, driving toward increased corporate profitability and aggressive deliverables as we acquire companies (such as Apartments.com last year and Apartment Finder this year) and expand our portfolio of offerings. You will manage and grow the recruiting team into a nimble and responsive team that can flex to changes as needed. You will have the opportunity to streamline the hiring process, implement new assessment tools and practices, and coach a developing team to greatness. A key element for success in this position is the ability to work closely with the corporate teams to understand and dissect their various needs, and develop and roll out numerous plans of action. Tracking and reporting on progress is also critical to success, so you should have a solid grasp of reporting, metrics and analysis. In this role, you will also be an integral part of developing and implementing leading edge talent acquisition processes and strategies, and helping the organization adapt to those processes. EXPERIENCE: The most successful candidate for this role will have solid core recruiting skills and experience leading/mentoring a team responsible for deep-sourcing and creative outreach. You will know how to build and manage a candidate profile, develop a sourcing strategy, properly assess candidate qualifications and present and close opportunities effectively. You will have a drive for results, be inquisitive, perpetuate a sales and service orientation towards clients and candidates, and be a strong relationship builder; in addition you should be able to adjust easily in a dynamic environment and have passion for the company and your craft. Finally, you should know the market, understand business strategy and priorities, and be able to build and grow talent networks. Experience leading a small team in a high pressure environment, building strong relationships with colleagues and managers to provide coaching, encouragement, direction, and prioritization as well as tracking and measuring success. Creative and realistic, as well as results-driven and business savvy with a strong customer service orientation. You should be able to adjust easily in a dynamic environment and have passion for the company and your craft. Proven ability to proactively work with hiring managers to drive the recruitment process Experience using an applicant tracking system (we use Workday) as well as LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social recruiting platforms; experience utilizing job boards, target company cold-calling, and other sourcing mechanisms to identify candidates. Experience trying out new sourcing avenues and measuring success is important, and Excel fluency is required. Knowledge of common human resources practices, employment laws and/or government compliance regulations that affect recruitment. Experience working through immigration employment law required. BA/BS Degree Required. PHR, Lou Adler Performance-based Hiring Training, or other certifications a plus.
