SUMMARY Develops business development objectives, initiatives and procedures. Assesses new markets and analyzes new business opportunities. Develops relationships with teaming partners and customers. Assists in writing, editing, and production of original and compliant proposal documents. Reviews the scope of solicitations ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned): Responsible for developing new market initiatives, assessing new markets and analyzing new business opportunities Participates in the formation and implementation of new business development strategies Travels to customers and teaming partners to establish and maintain relationships Manages Sales Force system by tracking and updating opportunities Supports in writing, editing, and producing proposal documents that are distinctive, highly competitive, and fully compliant with RFP requirements Reviews the scope of solicitations for requirements and need for and selection of teaming partners SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No supervisory responsibility. Assignments received in broad terms with timelines and objectives set. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree Seven Years of related experience Direct Experience in developing business for an Enviromental Services federal contractor is required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Good track record in establishing relationships with teaming partners and tracking business opportunities. Word Processing software, database software, spreadsheet software. Interpersonal skills; patience; problem solving skills; attention to detail; organization skills; accuracy; time management WORK ENVIRONMENT This position will involve frequent local travel and roughly 50% of the time may entail national travel.
