Wireless Project Manager
TOP SKILLS: 1.) 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager working with stakeholders and leadership teams, coordinating and interacting with vendors, assisting with creating/forecasting budgets 2.) Experience overseeing and facilitating wireless or network integration projects from start to finish 3.) Understanding of fiber optic cabling and wireless devices (our client is in Phase 1 of the wireless refresh across all of their main hospitals) Our client is looking to bring on a Sr. Project Manager to join their enterprise architecture team. They are just kicking off the wireless refresh initiative this month, they have received the final budget approval to go ahead and complete 2 hospitals: They would like to have these sites upgraded before the end of October. This person will be responsible for leading this project, coordinating with their vendors to ensure all of the deliverables are met on time. This person will be the face of the customer on-site at the hospital sites, working with the leadership team and stakeholders. This person will be interacting with the following vendors: * KCI (handles the cabling and hanging up the actual physical AP's) * IronBow (performing the architecture, design, and configuration of the wireless infrastructure and AP's) * NTT Data (outsourced services partner that handles the operational support of the data center, network, infrastructure, Voice, and Telecom for our client) This person will be responsible for working with the internal staff and vendors to ensure the functionality and validity for their enterprise wireless network. They will be working with Cisco Prime Infrastructure to help manage over 3,000 access points and 15+ wireless controllers across multiple hospitals and clinics in the MD/DC area. This person will be responsible for working with KCI, who is relocating a lot of the AP's in patient rooms and performing site surveys at various hospital locations to ensure internal employees, doctors, and patients have strong wireless coverage for their devices (IPads, cell phones, etc.). The NTT team will be troubleshooting any issues involved with (RF) interference, power levels, capacity and constraints for campus layer 2-3 enterprise network. This person will be the lead engineer responsible for any upgrades or changes to their wireless enterprise network. MedStar is partner with Presidio as their VAR for performing the RF Design work and NTT who is handling running the network cabling throughout the hospitals. This person will be working closely with IronBow as well as the operations team who will be responsible for the majority of the troubleshooting support for wireless devices. This person will also be responsible for putting BOM's together and managing budgets associated with the wireless engineering projects.
