This position is located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD. This candidate will: Receive and direct visitors, employment applicants, salespersons and customers to appropriate locations and parties. Operate a single or multiple position telephone system answering and directing calls from customers, clients, and employees. Maintain a visitors log and issues security badges when necessary according to established procedures. Coordinates with Security department to ensure building is secure and alerts appropriate department of discrepancies. Monitors online ticketing system for Maintenance department to include: entering data for new tickets; processes and closes open tickets as needed. Interacts with maintenance and janitorial staff to complete tickets and resolve immediate problems. Provide coverage for front desk, online maintenance ticketing system, and conference center as needed and scheduled. Other administrative tasks as required Note: Some overtime required. Position hours are 7:45 AM 5:00 or 5:30 PM depending on the schedule. Basic Requirements: 1 year of prior reception work 1 year of experience in VOIP phone systems, online ticketing systems (HP Service Anywhere, Cherwell, ServiceNow, or similar applications) 1 year of experience with online database and calendar tool applications Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication skills and applicants must be fluent with verbal and written English. Advanced Windows-based computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; primarily Microsoft Word and Outlook. Attention to detail and ability to multitask, work effectively on a team, and able to work in a fast paced environment, often responding to last minute requests and situations. Applicants should have a background in reception that focuses on customer service and support.
