JOB SUMMARY The Transfer Pricing Senior Manager will be a member of the Corporate Tax Department and will assist in a variety of global transfer pricing initiatives. This position will be responsible for identifying and analyzing intercompany transactions and preparing documentation to comply with Transfer Pricing regulations issued by Tax Administrations throughout the world. In addition, this position will be involved in identifying planning opportunities and risk management solutions, developing and implementing best practice and global transfer pricing policies. The Transfer Pricing Senior Manager will also work closely with the Global Audit team with regards to transfer pricing audits. BUSINESS CONTEXT / EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS Expected Contributions Overall Management of Marriott global transfer pricing processes and procedures. Identify and assess cross-border inter company transactions to identify opportunities and develop appropriate tax strategies. Prepare, coordinate and maintain contemporaneous documentation as required to support Marriott s transfer pricing policies. Review of benchmarking studies prepared by outside advisors. Develop a comprehensive functional description of the business activities undertaken by the various Marriott Legal Entities. Ensuring that the transfer pricing policies are applied correctly. Team with the legal department to develop and maintain intercompany agreements. Assist in the management and monitoring of the impact of related party transactions on Marriott effective tax rate. Assist the Global Audit team with US IRS and/or other foreign tax authorities transfer pricing audit inquiries. Track tax law changes related to global transfer pricing (e. g. BEPS) and assesses the impact on Marriott s transfer pricing position and compliance. Complete complex special projects as assigned. Candidate Profile Experience Minimum 6 years of transfer pricing experience in global transfer pricing analysis (development of and monitoring arm s length standards for inter company transactions). Considerable knowledge of performing market studies, comparable research and industry research. Comprehensive technical skills, including pricing policies, executing market studies and strategizing on local-country transfer pricing rules and requirements. Experience in dealing with IRS and non-US tax authorities on transfer pricing inquiries. Lodging/hospitality industry knowledge preferred. Education or Certification Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
