Amyx is seeking to hire a DOD Acquisition Specialist to be located in Arlington, VA. The position shall assist JIDO J8 in the acquisition and implementation of material and non-material solutions that can enable defeat of the human enemy networks used to employ improvised threats including IEDs. The contractor shall assist the JIDO J8 T&E Leadership deliver needed capabilities within schedule and budget constraints. This Acquisition Specialist Subject Matter Expert (SME) position will involve advisory acquisition, contracting, program planning, budgeting, and integration support to assigned activities and projects. This position will require the individual to function in a contracting subject matter expertise role, in support of customer Program Manager (PM), Branch and Division leadership. Key aspects of this position involve direct interaction and coordination with internal Division and Branch leadership, internal program team members, external leadership, and key program stakeholders. Full time contracting support / Part time acquisition analyst support, providing expert acquisition and business operations support to JIDO. The position provides acquisition consulting support to assist the Government in managing all contracts that support J8/JIDO. The contractor shall assist on drafting acquisition and contracting documentation required to successfully compete, award and execute multiple support contracts, through the use of organic contracts, the GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) program, and other Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC) or Multi-Agency Contracts (MAC). The contractor shall prepare preliminary documents that reflect technical and operational requirements for Government approval. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Support the planning, development, and establishment of the contract strategy for the overall J8 Acquisition Program. * Assist with the identification and sustainment of existing contracts, Interagency Agreements (IAs), and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate rapid procurement capability. This includes but not limited to: Period of Performance (PoP), Funding Ceiling, JIDO Current efforts on each contract, and other areas as identified. * Support the development of SOW, PWS, Broad Area Announcement (BAA), Justification memorandums, source selection summaries, final selection justification, and all other documents required to effectively execute the J8 Acquisition Program. * Ensure that documentation is maintained for the appropriate period of time, and coordinates support for internal and external audits for all J8 contracts. * Ensure proper contract closeout / Minimum 3 years DoD Acquisition, Contracting, and/or Program Management experience Prior experience managing ACAT level programs Working knowledge of Pentagon operations Excellent communication and organizational skills Federal Government experience required Education - Bachelor's Degree in related business/management field Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Desired Skills and Qualifications : MBA, MA, or MS degree in a related field Prior JIDO (JIEDDO/JIDA) experience Professional certifications (eg PMP, CPA, CDFM, CGFM, CISA, CIA, CEA)
