Bring along your passion and do your life's best work.(sm) The Solution Sales Executives - Planning 20/20 is accountable to sell Optum solutions to new and/or existing clients, in particular to Chief Strategy Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, and planning leadership. Pursue and generate leads for new product or service opportunities to new or existing clients. Responsible for individual growth quota to expand and ensure delivery of Optum' s solution within their assigned product or solutions set (Technology Sales). Develop consultative client relationships and trusted advisor to demonstrate how Optum can provide value for the client to meet their objectives and improve the health system. Territory: MI, IN, OH, PA, CT, MD, DE, NH, MA, NY, NJ, ME Primary Responsibilities: Prospect and build new business within an assigned territory; acquire new clients successfully and negotiate to expand memberships for existing clients Serve as subject matter expert across the product capabilities, with deep expertise in the Hospital and Health Systems solutions, with particular emphasis on health system growth, planning, marketing, and referral growth Build relationships by meeting with senior executives (Planning and Business Development Leaders) to discuss their strategic and operational challenges, present best practice solutions and effectively sell the vision of Optum technology and consulting capabilities Actively contribute to and drive forward product offering roadmap, helping to perfect and refine current offerings and test new offerings in the market Consultative-based sales experience with ability to work with clients to customized solution proposals Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors Provide insights from marketing visits to inform future research initiatives and new product development inquiries Required Qualifications: 5+ years' experience in Healthcare/Technology Sales, Account Management, and/or the equivalent within the Provider / Hospital market Experience selling Data Analytics Solutions, particularly to health system marketing and planning Technology experience with SAAS Successful track record of achieving and/or exceeding individual sales goals Proven negotiation and persuasion skills Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities, strong prioritization and organizational skills Willingness to travel domestically at least 50% Preferred Qualifications: Experience selling SAAS products, preferably in the health care industry Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Excellent writing, critical thinking and negotiation skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong presentation and facilitation skills; the ability to manage executive meetings and member interactions to desired outcomes Ability to work within a complex matrixed environment to coordinate internally in order to reach a common goal Careers with Optum.
