The Preschool Teacher demonstrates leadership abilities by creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for all students. She/he has the ability to craft a classroom environment conducive to learning by employing a variety of appropriate teaching strategies. Lead Teachers are responsible for providing learning experiences for children of all learning levels by differentiating the designated curriculum. Work includes, but not limited to, delivering academic instruction, administering assessments, and supervising Teacher Assistants. Minimum Requirements : . Completed at least one (1) full year of experience working under supervision primarily with preschoolers in a licensed child care center, nursery school, church-operated school, or similar setting OR hold a degree in a related field . Meet MSDE preschool teacher requirements . 90 clock certification or willing to attain once hired . CPR/First Aid certification is preferred . A well developed philosophy on the education of young children, which parallels with the educational philosophy of Right Start Academy . Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Suite is preferred Additional Responsibilities : . Complies with, and may implement, MSDE regulations regarding the care of children . Posses a general love for children and teaching . Creates purposeful and appropriate lesson plans that provide for effective teaching strategies and maximizes time on tasks . Plans and implements educational activities designed to meet individual needs of students . Encourages and reinforces student enthusiasm for the learning process . Provides progress reports and student assessments as required . Uses effective oral and written communication skills with children, parents, and staff . Attends and participates in staff meetings, center events, and parent/customer meetings as requested
