Med-Pulmonary Procedure Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
What You Will Do: The Pulmonary Procedure area is a very active adult patient care service line. Our team supports a cutting edge of current diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. We perform standard bronchoscopies, endobronchial ultrasound procedures (EBUS) airway stent placements, cryotherapy, perforated tracheostomy procedures, and assist in the operating room with complex cases of the thorax. Our well-equipped state of the art pulmonary diagnostic area allows us to provide exceptional patient care to a specific inpatient and outpatient population. As a practicing Respiratory Therapist (RT) you will work along with the dynamic team of RT s, RN s, and LIP s. You are supported by board certified Pulmonologists and Pulmonary Fellows. Utilizing best Respiratory and clinical practices, you will be responsible for the overall patient care. Care to include patient evaluation, equipment and process setup, assisting the physician throughout the procedure and monitoring of the patient. Employing your Respiratory and clinical skills is essential. You will educate patients, their disease, and instruct them with regards to their medications. You will partner with nursing units and service lines to coordinate patient care across the medical center to enhance the patient s overall experience.
