IBM Global Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) Security Architect in Washington, District Of Columbia Job Description The architect in the Global Security Practice should be technology and solution adviser with pragmatic experience in Healthcare and Life Sciences. The architect will act in many ways as technology consultants that can speak to the security landscape, architectural models and solutions credibly, and possess the ability to discuss and present to senior members of a client team. The architect needs proven knowledge and experience in the following security domains: Identify and Access Management (IAM); Application and Data Security; Infrastructure and Endpoint; and Security Intelligence / Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM). The Security architect should also be able to speak to the breadth and depth of the landscape. The architect will provide subject matter expertise through delivery of workshops, as a member of consulting engagements, and as leader on solution design and deployment projects. The architect should be knowledgeable in solution design methodologies (eg Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) type of approaches) and have the ability to generate high quality artifacts such as requirements artifacts, high level and detailed designs and deployment plans. Core consulting: * Effective communication and presentation skills * The ability to lead large groups and be a primary facilitator * Effective written communication skills * Comfortable working in a project based / client serving model * Ability to lead and shape client expectations * Ability to develop security solutions * Help drive pursuits and engage in complex deals, matching outcomes to expectations * Ability to work easily with diverse and dynamic teams * Ability to work in a matrix management model Domain Skills: * Depth & Breadth of knowledge in core security domains: Governance Risk Compliance (GRC), IAM, Security Operations, Application, Data or Infrastructure, Mobile Security * Experience in the design and deployment of technology and solutions in core domains: IAM; Application and Data security; Infrastructure and Endpoint; and Security Intelligence / SIEM * Solid understanding and experience working a structured solution design methodology Candidates can be located in any US City, and must be willing to travel 50-75% as required, including international travel. Secondary Language Skills a plus. Required Technical and Professional Expertise * At least 5 years of experience in architectural level design in a particular security domain * Experience in Healthcare and Life Sciences * At least 3 years of experience in a professional services firm focused on systems integration projects * Experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions * Experience working with Security practitioners * Readiness to travel 75% travel annually, including international travel Preferred Tech and Prof Experience * At least 1 year of experience working in an international deployment role * At least 5 years of experience in professional services focused on systems integration * At least 8 years of experience working within one or more security domains: Identify and Access Management; Application and Data Security; Infrastructure and Endpoint; or Security Intelligence / SIEM EO Statement IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
