Software Engineer/Architect, Senior

Key Role:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of agency mission critical applications by providing complex solutions using a combination of open source, COTS integration, and custom development in Java, .Net, PHP, Visual Basic, HTML, and JavaScript. Support system requirements gathering and documentation, provide input on system design and architecture, perform software development, and support testing and deployment. Attend and provide technical input during internal and client meetings and communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment. Participate in writing systems documents, including use case design documents and support user acceptance testing and production system deployment efforts. Support the operation and maintenance of deployed systems, including issue resolution and bug tracking and demonstrate knowledge of multiple systems, platforms, and their interfaces to ensure delivered capabilities meet mission needs. Contribute to team success by interacting with clients and the user community and learning and leveraging new tools while adhering to software engineering best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with software solutions development or network engineering in the DoD domain, including both tactical and business
-5+ years of experience with Windows, UNIX, Linux, virtualization, routing or switching, and databases
-Secret clearance
-Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Mongo DB, Jive, MediaWiki, WordPress, and other open source systems
-Knowledge of Army and DoD IT policies and governance, including expertise in the constraints the DoD environment puts on the implementation of COTS products
-BA or BS degree or higher in CS, Information Systems, or Engineering
-Security+ Certification
