Military Logistics SME

Key Role:
Provide logistics analysis to a Headquarters US Marine Corps (HQMC) installations and logistics client. Develop recommendations to improve business practices for material management, equipment and distribution visibility, materiel readiness, and all other aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support. Coordinate logistics activities internal to DoD and HQMC with external stakeholders. Identify risk mitigation strategies for current and future Marine Corps logistics challenges and assist the client by analyzing the development of policies that result in improved global asset visibility. Provide program management support, prepare presentations, reports, and status input for a multimillion-dollar contract, and make recommendations to executive-level leadership. Analyze the development of project plans and schedules for a multitude of tasks and overlapping work streams. Take a leadership role in generating intellectual capital to grow business.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with logistics or logistics policies
-Experience in a USMC logistics officer or senior enlisted role
-Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
-Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience as a HQMC action officer a plus
-Experience with the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP)
-Experience with proposal writing a plus
-Knowledge of the priorities established in strategic documents, including the Marine Corps Installations and Logistics Roadmap (MCILR), Marine Corps Logistics IT Portfolio Strategy, and the Marine Corps Operating Concept (MOC)
-Ability to be high energy, have enthusiasm and tact, and interact with senior executives from government and industry effectively
-Ability to be self-directed, detail-oriented, adapt to changing work efforts, and manage shifting priorities
-Ability to conduct occasional travel 5-7 days per year
-BA or BS degree
