Business Operations Associate

Key Role:

Report to the legal operations lead for operational and business activities, processes, and efforts to maximize the legal and ethics department's ability to protect and enable the business. Address the business operations and administrative needs of the department and lead efforts to enhance processes across the legal and ethics department, including coordination of knowledge management, department records management, help desk article development and maintenance, business continuity plan administration, and legal and ethics industry awareness. Coordinate with infrastructure corporate teams and across the department to enable the legal and ethics department to operate efficiently, including facilities for space planning and offices, human resources for recruiting and performance management, and vendor and law firm support. Support the coordination of fiscal year budget development and execution with the finance department and team leads, including ongoing financial tracking and monthly reporting. Support the development and maintenance consolidated legal and ethics department reporting, including performance metrics, financials, and program management reviews and leverage benchmarking survey results. Enable people initiatives to enhance engagement related-operations, including onboarding, offboarding, meetings, off-sites, social events, mentoring program, and communications. Support the development and maintenance of a technology roadmap for the department and ensure technology enablement with consistency of tools and resources for the department, including knowledge management tools and best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with working in a professional environment

-6+ years of experience in business operations with a record of accomplishment and driving results, including strategic planning, financial management, vendor management, technology management, and data analytics

-Experience with managing key financial controls needed to support business operations successfully

-Ability to manage multiple initiatives and adjust quickly to shifting priorities

-Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations

-Ability to synthesize discussions into actionable deliverables and collect, analyze, and use data to make, recommend, or enable decisions

-Ability to work with and influence a diversity of stakeholders at all levels internally and externally

-Ability to process information, learn quickly, and think critically

-Ability to demonstrate a high degree of maturity, discretion, and integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to be a team player that fosters professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all actions

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills for creating executive-level presentations, briefings, or decks

-Possession of excellent client service, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and planning skills
