Salary Range:  $126,148 - $189,600

Position Location:  Washington, DC

The U.S. Coast Guard is announcing a challenging Senior Executive Service career opportunity to serve as Deputy Assistant Commandant for Capability responsible for overseeing the development of capability to support all U.S. Coast Guard missions and activities by managing the operational requirements development process; and developing platform, people, and equipment standards for staffing, training, equipping, sustaining, maintaining, and employment of U.S. Coast Guard systems.  The Deputy will establish agency-wide goals, objectives and procedures to implement U.S. Coast Guard capability analysis and development activities, oversee all aspects of operational capability program management and provide counsel to senior agency officials on U.S. Coast Guard aviation forces, specialized capabilities, boat forces, shore forces, cutter forces, U.S. Coast Guard Command and Control, Computers, Communication, Cyber and Intelligence capabilities, and cyberspace forces, including the development and implementation of operational policy, resourcing strategies, management of personnel, sustainment of current capabilities, and delivery of new capabilities. 

The selectee must attain a Top Secret Special Compartmentalized Information clearance, and undergo pre/post-appointment random drug testing.  U.S. Citizenship required.
