Manager of Outsourced Accounting
Manager and Team Leader Outsourced Accounting Position Summary: Provide a critical role in managing the Outsourced Accounting division to provide clients with outsourced accounting solutions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Direct and provide monthly accounting support to a wide variety of clients including month-end closes, financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and GL, financial analysis, cash management, etc. Assist clients in determining their accounting system needs. Design and implement accounting systems; train clients on system uses and applications. Provide clients with the information they need to manage their businesses. Through servicing clients, make recommendations on business planning and serve as a business advisor to clients. Communicate complex planning strategies effectively to clients and other firm professionals. Develop excellent client relationships on behalf of the firm. Lead staff through mentoring, guidance and coaching. Evaluate performance and provide timely feedback. Pursue new business opportunities. Maintain primary and active relationships with key business contacts, clients and referral sources. Prepare invoices to clients, communicates details of fees to clients, and assists in collection of overdue accounts. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics: Demonstrate sound judgment in arriving at conclusions and in handling unusual or difficult situations. Ability to lead and supervise others. Conduct him/herself in a professional manner with confidence and ease in the presence of staff and client representatives. Delegate effectively. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning. Proficiency with computers, spreadsheet software programs, calculator and other general office equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. Competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and Firm standards and ethics. Qualifications: A proactive and accomplished leader. Bachelor s degree in Accounting and 7 10 years comparable experience. The successful candidate should have extensive QuickBooks, Peachtree and Excel knowledge. Basic tax knowledge and experience with payroll, personal property, and income tax preparation. Proven ability to design and maintain accounting systems, including transaction processes, and internal controls. Proven ability to prepare monthly and annual closings, and identify and assemble information needed for tax return preparation and financial statements. Strong supervisory skills are required.
