Job Description: Day to Day Activity: Supervise, develop and train tax staff, tax senior and various consultants that are assigned to firm tax projects. Research, prepare work papers and document the tax treatment of management company and firm acquisition entity transactions Build and detail review tax models and work papers for specific tax functions related to the quarterly tax provision and annual tax returns Documenting and supervising the tax staff and/or tax senior to maintain SOX 404 processes for the tax department Assist with corporate structuring as it relates to international Subadvisor entities Monitor regulatory changes globally and evaluate related impact on the Advisor entities and the Firm s financial reporting and tax compliance. Coordinate with other internal stakeholders (Unitholder tax team, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, etc) to provide Firm tax related information. Lead efforts representing the tax team in driving efficiencies in collecting needed financial information for tax reporting. Other projects as applicable. Provision Responsible for quarterly tax provisions of various entities in the firm structure, both domestic and international under ASC 740 Involvement in tax aspects and reporting from the Accounting System (PeopleSoft) Monitor the management company s foreign tax credit and foreign sourced income position for both GAAP and Non-GAAP reporting Lead the provision tax team by providing guidance related to the completion of tax work papers and detailed analyses needed in order to complete various firm tax functions. Monitor and document existing and new uncertain tax positions and coordinate with external advisors to evaluate the firm s FIN 48 positions. Review financial statement data for firm entities and determine required book/tax adjustments; Ensure that SOX documentation on quarterly tax provision is prepared and assembled for Internal Audit s review. Qualifications Minimum of 5-8 years public accounting or private industry accounting experience, required Direct experience supervising Tax Seniors and Tax Staff Experience with tax provision calculations under ASC 740 preferred Partnership tax and tax compliance experience preferred Private equity experience preferred Accounting degree required Masters of Accountancy/Tax degree preferred CPA preferred Self-starter Strong Excel skills essential Strong interpersonal skills *MO25
