The employer is a nonprofit organization with the goal of strengthening the foundations of community. Experience in one or more one or more HR disciplines such as recruitment, ER, training, benefits, compensation, policy interpretation and problem-solving. Knowledge of laws and regulations governing employment and employee relations practices. Ability to objectively coach leaders and associates through complex and challenging concerns. Ability to develop creative solutions to effectively solve problems while maintaining consistency with policies, standards, procedures, laws, and regulations Good decision-making skills, including the ability to negotiate, counsel, advise and influence leadership. Ability to interpret Human Resources policies and procedures and to guide management in their application and implementation. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environment. Provides consultation to managers and employees on employee relations issues, Human Resources policies, procedures, standards, laws and regulations. Reviews complaints and documentation, conducts investigations, recommends solutions and counsels staff on the performance management program. Performs benefits administration, including claims, resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees related to workers compensation, FMLA, STD, LTD, and unemployment. Four (4) year college degree required; a concentration in Human Resources, Business, Management, psychology or related field preferred. A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in human resources across multiple areas of Human Resources. A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required. Experience working in a non-profit organization strongly preferred
