Catering company located in Elkridge MD is currently interviewing for Executive Chef. We serve a high end clientele and have high standards for food and service. Globally inspired scratch cooking finished on site. Looking for aa Executive Chef that wants to learn and grow.Job Duties and Responsibilities: - At least 5+ years' experience - Head chef / kitchen management experience -Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays. -Determine production schedules to ensure timely delivery of services. -Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients. -Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards. -Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations. -Order food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation. -Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labor, and overhead costs. -Prepare and cook foods of all types. -Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers. -Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. -Check the quantity and quality of received products. -Inventory control. -Acquire and retain all necessary certifications. Qualifications: -Culinary certificate preferred. -Relevant experience the culinary and restaurant industry. -Flexibility on working hours (will include nights, weekends, holidays, etc.) -Must be able to train, motivate and work well with the all team members.
