Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience advising on the implementation and evaluation of exchange visitor programs and management services.
Experience providing guidance, policy development and assistance in administering oversight of exchange visitor programs and management issues.
Experience assisting in the establishment and maintenance of exchange visitors programs.
Experience planning, coordinating, and leading/conducting analyses and studies that involve multiple organizations, to determine the effectiveness, efficiency, and performance levels of exchange visitor programs and/or establishment of new procedures and processes to improve use of resources and/or quality of services.
Experience reviewing and analyzing legislation, policies and regulations to determine the potential impact on exchange visitor programs.
Experience preparing guidance, clarification and recommending/drafting policies, regulations, guidance and/or standards based on reviews, long range planning and analysis of exchange visitor programs.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
