LGSW or LGPC Clinician
Community Connections' Bureau of Prisons Project is seeking a clinician (DC LGSW or LGPC) to provide initial assessment, treatment planning, case management, care coordination and supervised therapy under the supervision of an LICSW to a population of individuals referred by the DC Halfway Houses for short term intervention. The overall goal is to reduce risk of recidivism and facilitate the transition from the Halfway Houses to the community. Case management is provided in the office, at the Halfway Houses, and in the field and focuses primarily on re-entry services, resource acquisition and coordination of care. Therapy is provided in the office and is organized with CBT techniques to focus on symptom management, dual diagnosis, “criminal thinking”, family and social issues, and workplace problems. The BOP clinical team is building on a year of success with the goal of expanding service.
Minimum Qualifications: DC LGSW or LGPC. Prior experience with the criminal justice population is preferred.
Successful completion of BOP criminal background check and Community Connections' background check are conditions of employment, as is having a reliable vehicle and clean driving record to transport consumers as needed..
