Human Resources - Assistant (Training and Recruiting)
Overview Accepts and maintains employment applications, interviews and selects applicants for placement, and implements hiring process and facilitates orientation. Facilitates a transfer of knowledge and/or skills to people through presentation and interaction. Must be willing to assist recruitment team by planning events and attending recruitment functions. Will assist with in-park operation as needed. Qualifications * Customer service skills * Intermediate computer and typing skills. * Ability to communicate verbally to one or a group for sharing information and instruction. * Ability to work in fast-paced and rapidly changing office environment. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Possess a current and valid driver's license and submit it upon request. * Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. * Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. * Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. Responsibilities * Screen applications for previous work experiences, education and job skills. * Schedules group interviews. * Evaluates interviews based on Carowinds qualifications. * Enters interview and application data into HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and ATS (Applicant Tracking System.) * Maintains various applicant files, and confidentiality of all paper work and information in Human Resources. * Assist with new hire process to include new hire paperwork review, orientation schedule, background and drug screening invitations * Arranges program logistics: scheduleing participants, & required resources, preparing & restoring facilities with appropriate arrangement of tables, chairs, audio visual equipment, props, snacks, and any other materials or equipment needs for training. * Facilitates training & transfers of information & learning, using adult learning principles, maintaining & adjusting training as needed to achieve objectives, uses all required props, equipment& simulations & evaluates instructional methods. (Good platform skills & processing of information.
